Yuletide. High Tide, Low Tide?

Yuletide. High Tide, Low Tide?

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!”~ Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol

A funny thing happens to our Christmas seasons through the years. Some are bright and others less so, the way a candle flickers. Our celebrations can be big or small, depending on the circumstances. And like the ocean tide, yuletide itself also ebbs and flows through the days and years. The trick is in learning how to ride the tide!

Thursday I’ll share some thoughts how our holiday seasons evolve over time. Once again, we can’t stop change but we can anticipate and adapt. Through the course of our life, we’ll experience many seasons of the “holiday season.” Hold on, we’re going take a trip down memory lane but we’ll cruise on into Christmas present and future too!
